Woohoo... here comes Interstella 5555. An anime musical by Leiji Matsumoto, based on Daft Punk's Discovery album.

Ooops... forgot the todays episodes of Spiral so, I can consider myself lucky. No Spiral for the next few days, which means I should have more time (and will) to work on a few other reviews. Well the first one is Queen Emeraldas. Leiji Matsumoto is a legend! And so are his creations. This being one of them I just had to grab it.
And I have a confession to make. There's one other thing that's keeping me from writing reviews at the moment. And that is a book called "The Salmon Of A Doubt". Awesome book composed out of letters, articles, ideas, book drafts. It was published a year after the authors death and in my opinion every fan should read it. It's Douglas Adams pure... an insight into a brilliant mind.

Wow... watching something that's not good really makes me lazy... or better, just-keep-the-anime-away-from-me kinda mood. Took me a while to drag myself back out of the hole to review something. And it was a good thing... New on the menu is an action packed movei called Venus Wars. Considering it's age it's very well animated and... I don't know, maybe I just needed to watch something like it again, but it felt so good rewatching it.

In part due to a reminder and in part due to popular demand by one (yes, 1) person, I've put on a couple thoughts about a beautifull movie called Ocean Waves - I Can Hear The Sea. I hope you enjoy reading about it, but more importantly... I hope it makes you interested enough to go see it.

June 29th 2004
Right on! Another episode guide is up. This time of a sci-fi series called Stellvia Of The Universe. Tons of cute big-eyed characters, mechas and some nice space fights.
And on another note... there's a link to my site on Nausicaa.net. Thanks guys, apreciate it.

It's been a while since my last post... but... can you imagine how much fun there is writing up an episode guide to a series you didn't really like the first time you watched? You can't? Oh well, it sucks... But I clenched my teeth together and went through GetBackers cos it was it's turn. Man, the thought of going through Gundam Wing already scares me...

June 18th 2004 - the fifth
Oh my... I breaking reckords again... fifth update. This time it's another Lupin movie. And this one's an oldie. Lupin III - The Castle Of Cagliostro was produced in 1978 and has lost no flare till today. Brilliant.

June 18th 2004 - the fourth
Whisper Of The Heart is one of those movies that make you feel good about the world. This Ghibli anime is a true medicine after watching Narutaru.

June 18th 2004 - the third
Yesternight I finished watching Narutaru. A slightly disturbing anime series about teenage fears. Now the review and the episode guide are up.

June 18th 2004 - the second
Yes, it's one of the other reviews I mentioned before. A Tree Of Palme is actually a good but rather tragic movie.

June 18th 2004
Haven't been posting much lately due to a tad more work that had to be done. It's the summer season afterall. Well, I got the Spring And Chaos review up non the less as well as some others.

June 14th 2004 - the second
Another *khm* hour, another review. This time an anime short coming from the guys at the Studio 4°C. Comedy is not exactly what the title sugests... well maybe it is in some distorted sense of the word... it is however an awesome piece of work.

June 14th 2004
Rolling some more anime got me to one of my all-time favourites: Lupin III. Lupin III - The First Contact to be exact. But it's not much diferent than the rest of the saga. Just read it up and enjoy the show if you have the chance.

June 13th 2004 - the third
He he he, boredom kicks in... but non the less this is the last post for today. The Appleseed OVA (the 1988 one) is up. A nice Shirow manga adaptation. Read it up.

June 13th - the second
The second review for today. This time a movie from the Madhouse Studio called A Wind Named Amnesia, which is really nothing special by todays standards, it is however entertaining enough to rent and watch it.

June 13th 2004
Yeah... I was doing the real mans job yestarday (you know... sitting in a couch watching TV all day while the woman cleans around)... But I couldn't do it exactly all day. So I made some dinner, washed the dishes and stuff like that. Guess I'm not a real man like that afterall. I've been taking a day off from anime tho. So no posts... till today. The Pom Poko "review" is up. And since it's a movie there's no episode guide. Have fun.

June 11th 2004 - the fourth
There seems to be something serously wrong with me. I'm posting too much I think. Memories is the newest review on the site, as usual complete with the episode guide.

June 11th 2004 - the third
OMG! I'm on the roll here... third post in a day... I must be ill or something. OK, maybe not. Go check the new recipe and then run to the closest grocery. Steamed salmon is one of the easiest things to... hmm... steam.

June 11th 2004 - the second
Welp, through with Dual so I had to start a new anime. And after deep contemplation (of about 5 seconds) I decided on Narutaru. Before anyone says anything... it's got nothing to do with Naruto! Anyway, it's a very simplistic style and yet the story is somewhat strange. It starts off as a kids anime, but after watching the second episode I got this strange "gut feeling" it's not for kids at all.

June 11th 2004
Whoopsie daisy... added the review for Dual! Parallel Trouble Adventure and of course the episode guide. Enjoy.

June 8th 2004 - the second
...and I added a new recipe cos I had nothing better to do...

June 8th 2004
Ok now this I know nothing about but after watching a couple episodes, Dual! Parallel Trouble Adventure seems like a hillarious parody on Evangelion. Which is by no means a bad thing!

June 7th 2004
"Hehehe screw resting... I'll just do another episode guide" is what I said to myself when I got up yesterday morning. The result is the review and the episode guide to Future Boy Conan and a very bad case of neck strain... so I'll pause a little with these guides. Until the next time I feel bored to death.

June 6th 2004
Well, my neck hurts like hell and my back isn't doing much better... but I've added the review of Patapata Hikousen No Bouken along with it's episode guide. Go knock yourselves out.

June 5th 2004
Added a short review of Jungle Wa Itsumo Hale Nochi Guu Deluxe and the episode guide... again if you're sensitive about spoilers, don't read.

June 4th 2004 - the second
I just made a short review of Scrapped Princess and added the episode guide for the impatient ones... I tried not to spoil too much but it can't be totaly avoided. So if you don't want to know how... say... ep20 starts, then don't read the guide.
June 4th 2004
Goodie, goodie... The whole anime to watch section is up now. I may have to edit it sooner than I thought tho... all this anime and so little time to watch.
And on that IE issue: Thanks to Slowmo I now know MacIE sucks even more than the Windows version... And IE remains as the sole remaining "new generation" browser that fails at my site. So far the site works perfectly in Mozilla (Windows, Linux), Opera (Windows, Linux), Camino (Mac), Safari (Mac), Netscape (Linux) and Konqueror (Linux). It's also viewable in Lynx and Links (both are text browsers - so no pictures) and I somehow managed to view it on my WAP enabled cell phone.
June 3rd 2004
Weee... The "numeral" through "n" section of anime to watch is up. I tried to get the titles to link to their respective home sites, but I failed in some instances so I linked to either fansites, animenfo or english/american sites (like ADV). I'll be on the lookout to get the missing sites tho. The rest of the list should be up sometime tonight... I hope.
BTW... Vagabong brought to my attention IE (still) refuses to support Alpha Layerd Transparency in PNGs. It makes me sad, since PNGs are unbelievably supperior in quality than GIFs. So... If you want to see the site as it's supposed to look, get a gecko based browser (Mozilla, Mozilla FireFox, Opera...). I'll try to fix pics so they'll work in IE also... but that'll take a while.

June 1st 2004
I haven't posted much... been busy doing other stuff, but I think that's about to change. Anyway... I've started watching Scrapped Princess. It seems a pretty nice anime with a good plot. I don't expect much of it tho. We'll see how it turns out.
It's a story about a trown away (hence Scrapped) princess cos of a bad prophecy concerning her and destruction of the world as we (they) know it. She travels from town to town protected by her brother and sister. So far there's a lot of magic and nice fighting involved (you know... swords and dragons sort of thing), altho it seems the setting is far far into the future, 5000 years from now, after some sort of a third world war. As I said... let's wait and see if it clarifies.
