01 - First There Was Ginji And Ban
Natsumi is late returning home so she takes a shortcut and she is surprised by a cat. And since the cat is so cute she just has to take its picture. But the photo flash exposes a police office taking a bribe. He then chases her down the alley but she manages to escape losing a pendant in the process... And there is a security camera taping the whole thing. The next day she hears about the GetBackers and she decides to ask them for help.

02 - Get Back The Rusted Bond
Paul threw Ban and Ginji out of his bar until they're able to bay him back. And soon after thir car gets towed away and they have to spend the last of their money to get it back. Since then 3 days have passed and all they did was deliver their flyers to passengers. But then suddenly... their car gets towed away again! While on the verge of death from hunger a homeless man saves them and in return Ginji offers to help him. The man asks them to return his daughter.

03 - Platinum Retrieval Plan!
Dr. Jackal, Lady Poison and MR. No Brake - the three top couriers are hired to carry a misterious an very valuable cargo... Meanwhile Ginji and Band are still without money, but Paul took them back in. All of the sudden Hevn shows up with a job. The customer is a politican named Ootaki Haruo and he wants them to retrieve that cargo mentioned before. He won't tell what it is and offers to pay 2.000.000 yen. But Ban decides to refuse the money and just take 10% of the item...

04 - Professionals Of Retrieval Vs. Professional Couriers
After catching up to the couriers Ban and Ginji are faced with Dr. Jackal and Lady Poison. Dr. Jackal proposes them to back off bu Ban refuses and the fight starts. Ginji takes on Dr. Jackal... and Ban faces the Lady Poison who carries a grudge against him.

05 - Deadly Battle In The Dawn: Emperor Of Lightning Vs. Dr. Jackal
Whoa... the GetBackers actually managed to get back the box. But the couriers don't give up so easily. Just to make sure Ban drives through town's narrow alleys where the monster truck can't follow. Yet Mr. No Brake proves his truck really is a monster and chases them down non the less. They all end up at a monastery where their battles continue...

06 - Get Back The Melody Of God
Ginji's past is catching up to him. Actually... to both GetBackers. Some of the Volts, Ginji's former group, want him to return and blame Ban for Ginji leaving them. Meanwhile a blind violinist girl, Madoka, is attacked by a group of youngsters, but Ginji is there to save her. The youngsters then attack Ginji but the sudden appearance of Kazuki stops them. Kazuki, one of Ginji's closest friends, then tries to persuade Ginji to return to lead the Volts.

07 - Beast Change, Beast Master
During the mission to retrieve Madoka's Stradivaruis (the violin) Ban gets involved in a fight against the Beast Master Shido, who is another of Ginji's friends. Meanwhile Ginji, Hevn and Madoka are trying to locate the violin but end up in a trap and Ginji is forced to fight a protector called Undead.

08 - Ring The Melody Of Life
From one trap to another... but this time Shido gets betrayed by his employer and is forced to fight against one of the protectors. Ban takes on another one and Ginji is forced to fight Undead again. But Undead is winning and knocks Ginji off a cliff along with a tree. While everyone is worried about Ginji, Madoka surprises them by worrying about... Shido.

09 - Get Back The Mythical Sunflower! Part 1
The other night a painting has been stolen from the Takaokaya Art Gallery by a famous art thief named Clayman. The next day Ginji and Ban are joined by Shido in Paul's bar... soon after Hevn shows up. It turns out she called Shido for a job as he is starting out as... a retrieval specialist... needles to say Ban and Ginji don't like that at all. And then the customers show up. It's the owner and the director of the Takaokaya Gallery who want the Sunflower painting to be returned.

10 - Get Back The Mythical Sunflower! Part 2
So... Ban and Ginji found Clayman and the stolen Sunflower painting, but Clayman goes even further. He shows the GetBackers his entire collection and after seeing it Ban realises the pictures a more than just fakes. Meanwhile, the gallery owner sets them all up and decides to destroy Claymans collection along with GetBackers and Clayman himself...

11 - Sneak Into Mugenjou - The IL Retrieval Plan
MakubeX is a sinister guy, a former friend of Ginji, who is now the ruler of the lower Mugenjou... and he plots something evil. But for the time being Honky Tonk is witnessing a little family reunion. The's Ban and Ginji, Kazuki has been called there by Hevn, who also shows up. She just scored a huge job and needs the top specialists to tem up for it... Shido and Himiko show up as well. Now there's only one person missing. And the GetBackers aren't exactly happy when they hear why Akabane just walked through the door... The team is now complete and on their way to Mugenjou.

12 - An Unknown Boy, MakubeX
Ginji is unconscious and he's "dreaming" about his past. When he wakes up he is, to put it mildly, surprised there's only Akabane around. Akabane then tells him the group got separated so they are on their own... but since Ginji was born in Mugenjou that shouldn't be a problem. Ginji is still shocked about the fact he's alone with Dr. Jackal so he tries to run away... only to find out it's futile...

13 - Explosion! The Fuchoin Koto-String Skills
Well the group is still separated, and it seems the strangest possible pairs were formed. Ginji is still trying to avoid Akabane whenever he gets the possibility while Shido and Ban are forced to forget their diferences and survive. Meanwhile Shido explains Ginji's and MakubeX' story to Ban, so he could understand better. What they don't notice is they're being carefully watched by invisible eyes.

14 - The New Top Four
Ginji and Akabane come across a boy in a hallway and Ginji realises it's him... as a kid. But Akabane sees through the illusion and destroys it which, however, triggers Ginji's emotion and so the big fight starts. Akabane proves to be a real professional and he refuses to fight Ginji but all of the sudden there's many copies of the Lightning Emperor...

15 - Dancing In The Darkness, The Whip Of Roran
Emishi interferes with Ban fighting Fudo and Fudo escapes... but he isn't too happy about it and seeks answers from MakubeX. MakubeX reassures hime it's all going as planed. Yet Jubei isn't quite satisfied with the answer so MakubeX explains he fears Ban's determination and will to step away if necesary... meanwhile, Emishi has taken Shido and Ban to his, well... hideout.

16 - Explosion! Fury Of The Emperor Of Lightning
HAH! Even with Ginji being a klutz, him and Akabane find the IL's location. They ended up at the Garbage Disposal Facility, guarded by a bunch of guys. Akabane finds it entertaining to fight them, but Ginji senses the danger and tries to stop them. Meanwhile MakubeX sends Jubei after them and Ginji is very happy to finaly see him again...

17 - The Retrieval Team Assembles!
The retrieval team will soon be reunited just as MukubeX predicted. Fudo wants to go and beat the crap out of Ban but MakubeX wants him to wait. He wants them all to wait just 20 more minutes. Just the time he needs to bring every member of the retrieval team to the battlefield he prepared. Meanwhile Hevn, Himiko and Kazuki are forced to fight MakubeX' wire doll kids, then Ginji and Akabane appear just in time to help them out.

18 - Crash! Shido Vs. Emishi
Soon after determining their fate with a throw of the dice, albeit the results were strangely consecutive, every team member enters his or hers respective door. But strangely Shido and Kazuki reunite behind their doors facing Emishi and Jubei. Shido and Kazuki tell their opponents the secret behind the Top Fourm but then they suddenly all end up somewhere in the Grand Canyon, with Shido and Kazuki separated again.

19 - My Friend! Kazuki Vs. Jubei
Another fof the former Ginji's friends appears in the Honky Tonk and is surprised to hear Ginji returned to Mugenjou. Inside Mugenjou Heven is throwing the dice again and again, trying to figure out why the outcome is always 6. Then Shido walks in throug the door carying Emishi. He wants to take him to the doctor but before that he tells Hevn Kazuki is fighting his best friend Jubei. Meanwhile Kazuki is confident he'll win but is taken by surprise by Jubei's secret technique not even Kazuki knew about.

20 - The Man From Babylon City
MakubeX meets with Dr. Jakal and offers him to wartch the battles before starting his own, but Jackal just wants to fullfil his contract and deliver the plutonium as he was asked to in order to continue with the retrieval of the IL. Yet MakubeX knows how to wake Jackal's interest... He shows him the unlikely opponents - Himiko versus Kagami, the man from the feared Babylon City... Their battlefield is an ancient Mayan pyramid.

21 - Blade Of Revenge! Ban Vs. Fudo
Oh look... it's Ginji... calling for Ban again. Then a door appears for him to go through. At the same time Ban is facing his sworn enemy Fudo. Fudo is not going to be an easy opponent as he carries a grudge against Ban, and on top of that he can see a couple seconds into the future so he can tell exactly what Ban is up to. Meanwhile Kazuki shows up at the doctor's door carying Jubei and then colapses...

22 - Awakening! The Advent Of The Emperor Of Lightning
Forced to fight his past and fears Ginji turns into the Emperor Of Lightning. This of course worries everyone, so they all leave the doctor's office in order to reach Ginji before it's too late. Even Ban realises there is something wrong with Ginji and he ends his fight against Fudo by abruply defeating him. Meanwhile Dr. Jackal demands payment for his services from MakubeX and he rewards him with a fight against the Emperor of Lightning. The two titans finaly clash...

23 - Assault! The Virtual Army
Ginji and Akabane hurry to reach MakubeX' location so he is forced to change his plans... Meanwhile Ban fights Fudo again, but this time Fudo fights with one wish alone - to kill him. When all seems lost for Ban Shido finally appears and saves him. He then sends Ban and Hevn after Ginji, taking Fudo on all by himself. But MakubeX' new plan is already in motion... and there are suddenly multiple virtual copies of Fudo for him to fight against. Meanwhile Akabane And Ginji run into dozens of Dr. Jackal copies...

24 - The Final Battle! Ginji Vs. MakubeX
The team has now arrived at the MakubeX' location and the door closes behind them. Kagami decides he's not going to inerfere with them any longer and walks away. Meanwhile MakubeX explains why he does these things, but Akabane is annoyed with him and just wants to finish it quickly. Ginji stops him claiming the last fight for himself.

25 - Get Back The Infinite Future
Ginji's battle against MakubeX isn't finished yet... with MakubeX holding the nuclear bomb's trigger in his hand the retrieval team is paralyzed. MakubeX continues to tell the story behind his actions revealing a desperate fight against a preprogrammed future and the residents of Babylon City who are responsible for the whole misery. After his story comes to an end he decides it's time to push the button...

26 - Hot Springs Retrieval Vacation!?
Ginji is very happy today. Who could blame him? He and Ban got a new job at a hot spring! And all they have to do is retrieve a lost ring for a very rich client. But why are there Paul, Hevn and Natsumi coming as well? Pauls excuse is he lets them stay with him so he's entitled to come. Hevn is the negotiator so she has to introduce the GetBackers to their client. And Natsumi... well she just likes hot springs.

27 - High School Girl Vs. Retrieval Specialists
Our GetBackers are once again on the street handing out leaflets promoting their business... but this time they are lucky. A man aproaches them with a job. He wants them to retrieve a suitcase he lost. He tells the he lost it at a restaurant where he was dining. Some high school girls were annoying him so he yelled at them... but as we all know, kids can be very scary. He got a little scared and ran to the toilet. As he came back the suitcase was gone... and so were the girls.

28 - The Man Who Lost His Past
A man walks into Honky Tonk looking for the retrieval specialists. His name is Yuuji and he has a strange request. He wants Ginji and Ban to retrieve his memory... He tells them a sad story of a terrible accident him and his girlfriend had. They drove a car off a cliff but miraculosly survived. But he lost his memories and since then he's been nothing but trouble for her. And now they're both about to leave Japan so he would like to find out about his past before leaving the country with Midori.

29 - Get Back The Arms Of The Goddess!
An artist on the verge of madness or death? Anyway... Hevn comes to see Ban and Ginji about a job and Ban gets into a fight with her about her fee. He thinks she takes to much for herself. Ginji tries to calm her down which turns out not to be a good idea... But then Clayman appears with a job proposal and Hevn leaves faster than Ban can laugh at her. Oh BTW... Hevn keeps her phone in a very interesting place.

30 - Enigmatic Assasins! The Miroku Brothers
After Boarding the ship carying the arms of the goddess Ban gets infolved in a fight with one of the protectors. Natsuhiko manages to defeat Ban and throw him over board. Mwanwhile Ginji is looking for hime and is surprised to find, well to be found by, another person. Akabane! Needless to say Akabane is happy to see Ginji, while Ginji is not so happy. But since they're both there they start to fight and Ginji jumps over board just as a precaution...

31 - Hera And Kite
The ship is going to be docking to the island soon and Ban comes across Shido and Emishi. Since They're rivals on the job he can't just overlook them so he starts to fight... but his strenght is suddenly cut off and he faints. Shido decides to take him along. Meanwhile Ginji is srill being kept captive and Yukihiko dislocated his joints a little so he couldn't escape. When Hera and Akabane show up, he recognises her and makes her remember the events that led to the current situation.

32 - Ginji Vs. Miroku
Both retrieval teams are surrounded by men with machineguns in the island's underground maze... but that souldn't be a problem for our heroes. They decide to separate and pursue their goals. But Emishi and Shido get trapped, while Ban and Ginji decide to separate their ways. Ginji has doubts about fighting against Yukihiko, who is his new friend, but since they got a job to do he realises there is no other way.

33 - Retrieve The Eternal Goddess
The fight between Ginji and Yukihiko gets really explosive so Ban is forced to interrupt his fight with Dr. Jackal who feels sorry someone defeated Ginji before him. But Ban fights back and Dr. Jackal is forced to use Bloody Rain against him. What awaits him by doing that is a big surprise. Ban is long gone, saying he'd know if something bad happened to Ginji.

34 - The GetBackers Break Up?! The Enemy Is Mido Ban
Ginji and Ban are fighting eachother so Natsumi calls Hevn to help. She then finds them just in time to prevent the worst and after she demands an explanation Ban only replies he has enough of nursing Ginji and walks away. Only a little later a man starts to follow him. He is an old acquaintance of his and he takes him to his boss. Ban procedes to ask Daitetsou if it's true to have a certain diamond in his collection and tells him Ginji is after it. He also asks to be hired as a protector.

35 - Retrieve The Flame Of Life
Ban and Ginji meet Hevn in front of the hospital demanding a legitimate job, but she is remarkably serious. She takes the to a room where a girl lies on the bed and tells hem she wants them to retrieve the girls life. She was involved in an accident this morning and she needs an operation. But the blood that should be used for the transfusion was stolen and since it's a vare rare type of blood called Bombay Blood it can't be replaced.

36 - Children Of Fate
Himiko meets up with Ban and Ginji in the Honky Tonk. Hevn is there too, with some clients. Yuichiro want's the GetBackers to retrieve his son. At first Ban refuses, but after hearing the whole story he decides to take the job. Yuichiro refused the arranged marriage his father wanted and married Maki, the woman he loved, instead. Soon after their son was born and they were living happily until yesterday. Yuichiro's father kidnapped his grandson to raise him in Yuichiros place to take over the family business some day.

37 - Natsumi Works Hard!
A nice old lady comes into the Honky Tonk. She forgot where she hid a memento from her dead husband. He died a year ago and she was forced to live on her own till 2 months ago. She tried to find the memento but ultimately moved to her son's house without finding it. Now her own house is rented and the people who rent it won't let her inside. And since the GetBackers are out on a job Natsumi takes over. But... just what kind of a job are Ginji and Ban on...?

38 - A Recital Just For You
GetBackers are ou of work... again. But since Natsumi got payed for the last job she offers Ginji she'd pay for their dinned if he beats her at Shogi. Of course Ban knows nothing about it yet... and of course Ginji loses... so they're forced to wash dishes in Natsumi's place. Then Shido appears and starts mocking Ban about not having any money, but then Hevn shows up and Ban gets all hyped up convinced she's got a new job for them.... but she's there for Shido.

39 - Ginji Hospitalised? It's The Hospital! Everyone's here
Who in the world falls off a building chasing a rice ball? Correct! Ginji does. Well... by falling off of that building he messed up their job, but Hevn already solved that by the time she and Himiko visit Ginji in the hospital. Shido comes to... but only to start yet another fight with Ban. In the middle of the heated discussion a nurse comes into the room searching for the retrieval specialists. Just in time. It's a challenge which will prove who's the best retrieval specialist!

40 - The Monkey Strikes Back!
Natsumi, Ban and Ginji were invited over to Madoka's cottage. It's supposedly quite large and even has a hot spring. But there's a catch... since it's Madoka's cottage there will also be Shido around. But Ban is determined to have fun non the less. Before getting to the cottage they stop at a store to eat lunch Natsumi prepared for them... and are attacked by a monkey. The monkey steals thir lunch so Ban and Ginji follow it into the forest. But they're surprised to find the mokeys are actually pretty smart.

41 - Farewell My Lover
Ginji and Ban are doing some observation job and preparing to retrieve some stolen national secret. After returning to Honky Tonk they report to Hevn and demand to know what the national secret is. But even she doesn't know that. After she sees the footage from the observation she canceles the job. Ban and Ginji want to know the reason for canceling... especially since they bought a bunch of things spending lots of money. But Heven doesn't say a thing, she just gives them their money and leaves.

42 - The Cost Of Betrayal
Paul's past walks through the door. His name is Azuma and hes one of Pauls old friends who was thought to be dead for the past 10 years. He wants Paul to help him steal something back for another of their friends, Sakai. Paul initialy refuses and Azuma leaves the bar asking Paul to rethink his decision. Later Ginji wonders who the man was and Ban tells him a story of an extraordinary thief trio who never failed... The leader was a sniper, another was a hacker and the third was a negotiator... but 10 years ago they disbanded after their leader was killed.

43 - The Man Who Returned... Mugenjou Once Again
Sakura is being attacked by a woman using fire as her weapon. She is a member of a group who opposes MakubeX and the new Volts. Sakura can't escape her fire and colapses on the street just outside Mugenjou. Luckily for her Himiko passes by just at that instant so she picks her up and takes her to Honky Tonk. After she regains consciousness she informs everyone that MakubeX has been kidnapped after developing a programm that would set people of the lower town free.

44 - The Last Top Four
After being taken away from Gen by Uryu, Ren proves to be a valuable asset as she's able to master MacubeX' computer system. Kaoru get's mad at her because she refuses to answer any unnecesary questions but is calmed down by seing Ginji and his group entering Mugenjou. She is happy to see Kazuki is with him but Uryu claims the upcoming fight with Kazuki for himself. Meanwhile it becomes clear to the rescuers that whoever kidnapped MakubeX is very skilled. Jubei and Emishi also seem to be missing.

45 - The Demon Of Revenge! Fudo Dies
The outcome of the battle between Masaki and Teshimine is uncertain... Meanwhile Himiko is fighting Kaoru trying to force her to come with her to Honky Tonk in order to cure Sakura. Sakura is getting worse as time passes and Paul decides to put some of his resources to work. In the basement he's hiding a powerfull computer and he tries to contact Mugenjou through it when Sakura bursts into the room saying she'll help. Inside Mugenjou Shido is trying to warn the others about Masaki's intetions but he's badly wounded... And Ban faces Fudo once again.

46 - Brain Trust
Guess who's lost again... yeah, Ginji. But he's lucky again to have met Kagenuma. After asking for directions Kagenuma ponts Ginji to Babylon City. Meanwhile Dr. Jackal enters Mugenjou and already meets Kagami. He is eager to fight Kagami again so he attacks him without warning. Kagami, however, doesn't want to fight. He instead tells Dr. Jackal where to find Ginji and the other. Just as Kagami disappears Ginji comes along... lost again, and is very surprised to bump into Akabane.

47 - Bust Into Belt Line! Ginji Vs. Masaki
Kazuki, Ban, Jubei and Akabane are desperately trying to find a way out of the infinite virtual corridor in order to help Ginji. Meanwhile Ginji is trying to avoud fighting against Masaki, which doesn't quite work out... he is knocked unconcious by Masaki. Kazuki finds them just in time to prevent Masaki from killing Ginji and demands answers from Masaki, but Masaki refuses and disappears in a flash of light.

48 - Fated Confrontation, Ban Vs. Akabane
MakubeX has finaly found the trouth about himself. In order to prevent Masaki betraying Ginji he decides to cease his existance. Akabane decides to switch sides and Kagami brings him to Masaki. Further away, Ginji defeated Kaoru and now he leaves her there hoping she'd do the right thing and save Sakura. Him and Ban walk towards the door that separates Masaki from them. Meanwhile Jubei fights against one of his old friends and rivals, Uryu.

49 - GetBackers
Masaki is fighting against Ginji again, but this time Ginji fights back with all he's got. Meanwhile Gen, Paul and Ren completed their program and started running it. Now everyone, except Banm Ginji and MakubeX, meets again in the room where Ren is.
